Education and training

Among the main activities implemented at the Elena Cornaro Centre for gender studies and policies, many are related to students' orientation, lifelong learning and education, including:

  • the adoption of a gender perspective in education, in every field of science and technology, as well as in the social sciences and humanities;

  • the implementation of dedicated teaching and cross-curricular or cross-departmental courses (General course Gender, Knowledge and Social Justice);

  • the development and dissemination of resources for students, teachers and trainers;

  • the establishment of master's or doctoral degree awards relating to gender studies (Elena Cornaro Study Prize).

The Centre also supports the departments' engagement in international collaborations (e.g. MATHILDA European Master in Women's and Gender History; European Master ÉGALES - Études de Genre Actions Liées à l'Égalité dans la Société), aimed at the implementation of educational and lifelong learning activities about gender issues and the promotion of gender mainstreaming through European university networks.
