Next Generation CEC

Next Generation CEC

NextGenerationCEC is a new project of the Elena Cornaro University Centre, created on the initiative of a group of young researchers, doctoral candidates and students of the University. The project intends to create a mapping of ongoing research at the University of Padua dedicated to gender issues or adopting a gender perspective.

Through an inclusive, intersectional and transdisciplinary approach, the project’s goal is to create constructive exchange and dialogue among colleagues with the aim of engendering collective growth.

In accordance with the aims that have characterized the Elena Cornaro Centre since its establishment in 2019, NextGenerationCEC would like to develop connections between complementary points of view, methodologies, and knowledge. The goal is also to create synergies between the research of distant disciplinary areas and to build bridges that unite political-social and humanistic knowledge, science, technology and medicine.

This network will be promoted through actions that will be determined by all those who will respond to this call, and that may include meetings, seminars, workshops, presentations, and conferences. The final aim is to build a permanent observatory on the presence of gender perspectives and issues within the University.

The first Next Generation CEC call received a positive response: we collected 68 responses from students, PhD students, post-docs and employees of the University.
