Goals

The intersectional and transdisciplinary approach to gender-related research and training activities promoted by the Centre combines socio-political and humanistic knowledge with scientific knowledge, technology and medicine.

The Centre encourages the transfer of research results on innovative teaching with the aim of training students on equality, diversity and social justice in every professional area. It also focuses on promoting the spread of awareness on gender-related issues within the University and the society, among students, teachers and technical administrative staff.

The Centre contributes to the claim of equal opportunities within the University community through “gendered innovations”, namely researches and innovative applications attentive to the sex/gender variable.

It fosters public initiatives and collaborations with institutions and civil society aiming to constructively exchange knowledge and practices for ensuring gender equality. It strengthens partnerships with other research centers, on a national and international level, and with international research and advocacy initiatives related to promoting gender equality.
