Within the University of Padua, the Centre participates in the internationalization process concerning gender equality and gender mainstreaming by providing its expertise to initiatives such as bilateral agreements, participation in calls for research projects, activation and management of international PhDs.

The Centre is seen as a reference point for foreign PhD students as well as for visiting scholars that work on gender-related issues at the University of Padua. It actively participates in European and international networks such as European Association for Women in Science, UNESCO Unitwin Network for Gender Media and ICT, UNWomen HeforShe campaign. By promoting training activities, research and advocacy, the Center contributes to the achievement of Gender Equality, the 5th Global Goal of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by the United Nations.
