Research prospects

Through the participation of professors from different macro-areas, in fact, the Centre can map and track ongoing research at the University and support a transdisciplinary development of gender knowledges. This is also possible by bringing together different methodological perspectives, disciplinary approaches and expertise, in areas such as: gender education; overcoming stereotypes and discrimination; education against gender-based violence; the relationship between gender and language, gender and migration, gender and working conditions.

Specific attention is given to the implementation of an 'intersectional' perspective, in order to investigate the interaction between the gender dimension and other discrimination and exclusion factors, such as nationality and ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, age, profession, social class, religion, etc.

In addition to conducting surveys and research on the historical and social factors that today still condition the activities and presence of women in the university, the Centre is involved in the identification of adequate solutions and tools to remove any obstacles or constraints to the fulfilment of ambitions and careers and the full achievement of gender equality.
